Thyroid Function & Fat Loss Why Hormones Can Slow Your Progress

Sometimes you can eat clean, train regularly and still not see results. The reason is not always the diet or willpower  very often it’s the thyroid. This small gland controls your metabolism, energy and how fast your body burns fat. When it works well, you feel lighter, more energetic and weight drops naturally. When it slows down, your progress can get stuck.

The thyroid produces two hormones called T4 and T3. T3 is the active one  it tells your body to use calories instead of storing them. If your body doesn’t create enough T3 or struggles to convert T4 into T3, fat loss becomes much harder. Even if you are doing everything “right”, the results can be minimal. When thyroid hormones are low, the body moves into a protective mode. Metabolism slows, fat starts storing easier, especially around the belly and hips, energy drops and training feels harder than usual. You may notice cravings, water retention, slower recovery and weight that barely moves or even goes up.

Losing weight is not just about calories. It is about creating the right internal environment where hormones can work for you, not against you. When you take care of the thyroid  fat loss finally becomes possible.

If you feel like your body is resisting change and weight loss is slow despite your effort, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Get in touch with me  I’ll help you understand what’s happening, balance your hormones and finally start seeing real progress.

with love Nat.
